Stephen Sutton raises over £2 million
When 19 year old Stephen Sutton was diagnosed with bowel cancer four years ago he set about raising funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, aiming for an initial target of £10,000. Last Tuesday he took to Facebook for what he called his final farewell post – the international response to which was phenomenal. Thousands of pounds were being donated every minute and by Friday the total had hit a staggering £2million (and counting). Not only an incredible feat for Stephen but the largest ever single donation received by the Teenage Cancer Trust.
