When should you send your email marketing campaign to maximise the response rate? There are many theories – never on a Friday afternoon (clients are in the pub), either mid-morning or mid-afternoon, not over lunch, not after 6pm – but what if we let the data do the thinking for us?
Well luckily Kissmetrics have done just that. And unfortunately it is not as clear cut as you might initially think. It turns out that certain types of promotions work at better times of the day and week. So if you are selling travel offers or B2B solutions you may want to wait until after 5pm to be sending your campaign.
