#TheDress was the big conversation on the internet at the beginning of March, and within hours brands were putting their spin on it. Just days later The Salvation Army in South Africa released an ad which used a witty play on the black/blue dress to deliver a serious message about domestic violence. I chatted to Hala Gorani on CNN International to discuss how brands can capitalise on these huge viral moments that for a short time bring the world together around one dominant conversation.
